Welcome to Zone 5, Western Region Fire Departments.
Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency Services is made up of 6 Zones with Zone 5 being Western Region.
We have 8 departments with 14 fire stations.
We have 225 volunteer members and 17 staff members.
Our staff members work in a main station within the Zone Monday thru Friday 7 am - 5:30 pm, with Lakeside Fire Departmentl, Station 58 being the exception.
Lakeside Fire Department has 2 staff members 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
